The bayonet was used with the BM59 automatic rifle, which was developed on the basis of the Garand M1 semi-automatic rifle, as well as with the AR70 automatic rifle. This bayonet is a copy of the American M7 bayonet and differs from it by its plastic sidepieces of the handle, which resemble the handle of the American M4 bayonet. The bayonet scabbard sheath for the BM59 and AR70 is a copy of the American M8 sheath and differs from them in the absence of a metal tip and rotating bracket, as well as the lack of marking.
The bayonet blade is asymmetrical-twin-blade. The handle is formed by two plastic sidepieces fastened with two screws to the shank. The handle head has a short T-slot and a double spring clip. The scabbard is plastic, with an iron mouth and tarpaulin suspension strap.
