The knife bayonet was used with Romanian copies of the Soviet automatic rifles AKM and AKMS, Pistol Mitraliera model 1963 and Pistol Mitraliera model 1965, respectively. The knife bayonet is a copy of the Soviet bayonet to the AKM automatic machine of 1959 and is interchangeable with bayonets of the same model of release of other countries. It differs from the Soviet model by a wider handle and carrying belt design, as well as marking and color of plastic and rubber parts.
\n The bayonet blade is single-blade. The combat end is double-bladed, with a concave blade on the shoe side. The blade has a notch on the shoe in the form of teeth, allowing the bayonet to be used as a saw. In the front part of the blade there is a rectangular hole that allows attaching the bayonet to the sheath and using the construction as a cutter. The handle is formed by two plastic cheeks fastened to the blade shank with two rivets. Cross with a ring on the blade side of the blade. The handle head has a T-slot and a spring clip with an internal spiral spring arrangement. The spring clip button is fenced with a plastic edge. Steel scabbard. The upper part of the sheath is covered with an insulating rubber lining with a limiter.
