The bayonet was used with the Mannliher-Carcano rifles and carbines of 1891 and 1891/1924.
The blade is straight, single-blade, with a fuller on both sides. The fighting end is two-bladed. The handle is formed by two wooden sidepieces, fastened to the shank by two rivets. The steel head of the handle has a T-slot and a spring clip with an internal spiral spring arrangement. The cross is straight, with a barrel ring on the blade side of the shoe. Leather sheath with brass or iron device consisting of a mouth with a spindle and a tip, or steel with a spindle.
