Hinged bayonet of the 1966 model, to the Simonov semi-automatic carbine of of the 1959/66 model

This hinged bayonet was used with the Simonov semi-automatic carbine of the 1959/66 model (the official name is Polu-automatska puška M.59/66 or RAP 59/66), also known under the name “Papovka” since 1966. From 1959 to 1966 in Yugoslavia, the Simonov carbine was manufactured, which almost completely replicated the Soviet model, equipped with a folding bayonet of the 1949 model with a knife-shaped blade, however, modernization was made in 1966, as a result of which the carbine received a barreled grenade launcher and it was necessary to extend the bayonet to preserve effective length of the warhead of the blade.
