Knife bayonet, 1956 model, Norway, for M1 carbine
80.00 €
In the 50s, about 30,000 bayonets of the 1894 model for the Krag-Jorgensen rifle and carbine were modified for use with the American M1 carbine. The modification consisted of installing a barrel ring on the blade shoe side, changing the profile of the T-slot in the head of the handle, and modernizing the sheath for the American belt.
The bayonet blade is single-blade, with a rib on the middle line. The handle is formed by two wooden cheeks fastened to the shank with one screw. The handle head has a T-slot, and a plate with a barrel ring is soldered to the back of the handle. The spring latch button with the inner spiral spring is mounted in the lower part of the handle. Steel scabbard.
