The training bayonet, model 1985 (Wz85), is a handle similar to the handle of the Polish bayonet to the AKM and Wz 88 automatic rifles with a spring loaded metal plate with a rubber shock absorber instead of a blade. The bayonet can be attached to the AKM, Wz 88 and other Kalashnikov automatic rifles. Training bayonets of the 1985 model may differ from each other in the color of the rubber shock absorbers and some insignificant details of the construction.
There is no blade, instead of a blade in the handle there is a spring loaded sliding plate with a rubber shock absorber at the end. The plate, which has been retracted into the handle, is secured with a special latch. The handle is formed by a plastic overlay attached to the system with the sliding plate screws. Cross with barrel ring. The handle head has a T-slot and a spring clip with an internal spiral spring arrangement. No sheathing is required.
The marking of the bayonet consists of the bayonet number and the year of manufacture, located on the handle head, and on the side surface of the bayonet head there is the Radom factory mark (the number “11” in the oval).
